“‘ah yes i like this design im going to make a character exactly like this but slightly different and call it my own’ i’d be a little bothered” Im afraid this is wat artists do, kiddo. Take it as compliment and know no one can draw denby as you do.

sorry but i disagree a lot and please don’t call me “kiddo” as if you’re handing me some wise life knowledge lmao…

i didn’t say it was a bad thing to be inspired by others (not even going to mention that inspiration and actual copying are very different!!) and i am aware that the general idea is that This Is What Artists Do but basically all i said was that if someone “took inspiration” from denby so strongly that it looked like a blatant knockoff i wouldn’t like it?? it’s a practice that i don’t personally engage in and would be uncomfortable if someone did it to me and i’m not going to take it as a compliment if it makes me uncomfortable sorry

  4. mesopsyclone said: You guys asked her opinion alright? She gave it to you lmao there’s no need to continue this. Don’t ask for someones opinion on something and then try to change their minds of like, prove them otherwise or something.. :c

offended for you...fellow artist. :| I’m sorry. As an artist I don’t go around stealing...
  6. ashwara said: ha ha “wat” anyways there’s a difference also between characters looking similar by coincidence and then just have a knock off with just a slightly different look or someting
  7. nhyworks said: is it bad I’m more annoyed at the use of “kiddo” than anything….seriously the only time I use “Kiddo” is when I’m referring to Kill Bill
  8. kaciart said: You’re dead right zook, thats actually not what artists do. Any artist worth their salt aims for something different. Plagiarism is in the dictionary for a reason and it isnt a positive word or something to strive for.
